3 Lessons Learned from 2 Years as a Viral Pet Influencer

These are the valuable insights I’ve gained during my journey as a pet influencer with my dog, Puppet. From anonymity to content recycling and managing online comments, here are three lessons that have transformed my social media experience and life as a pet influencer.

  1. Embrace Anonymity in Fame

Being the owner of a famous pet comes with the unexpected perk of staying anonymous in public. With over 280,000 TikTok followers, my experiences prove that pets can provide a unique social media community while allowing their owners to maintain a low-key lifestyle. Your average influencer with an equal number of followers would be recognized in public and have a harder time maintaining privacy. But I rarely use my face in videos and dogs are a lot less distinctive than humans. Being a pet influencer has kept us off the radar, enabling us to enjoy our online fame without the overwhelming attention in our daily lives.

2. The Power of Content Recycling

The secret to consistently engaging your followers without constantly needing to create new content is to reuse and recycle!
